In undertaking this study, a meta-theoretical taxonomy is developed that provides a comprehensive basis for cataloguing the large number of different design theory elements found in the design literature, along with their relationships. From these analyses emerges a coherent theoretical framework that integrates technical, human and environmental aspects of design activity. The book contains two large appendices.
